Niceville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Lincoln Trojans get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Niceville got a great performance from Jake Morvay as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Morvay a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Niceville's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Marcantonio, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Niceville's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, they moved to 22-10 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Niceville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
