After losing to Central the last time they met, West Elk decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The West Elk Patriots secured a 45-41 W over the Central Raiders on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on five straight.

West Elk's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddex Moreno led the charge by putting up 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists Moreno has posted since back in January of 2024. Garett Usry was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 15 points.

West Elk has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-1-1 record.

West Elk has already played their next match (against Caldwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Udall.
