Football Recap: Stratton Eagles vs. Otis Bulldogs
Stratton's offense rose to the challenge against a Bulldogs defense that boasted an average of only 13.43 points allowed on Friday. The Stratton Eagles claimed a resounding 48-16 win over the Otis Bulldogs on the road. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won six contests in a row.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Stockton Fye and he. Fye gained 83 total yards and two touchdowns while he gained 83 total yards and two touchdowns. Stratton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Von Isenbart led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Webb has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Although Otis took the loss, they still got scores from Tayte Smith and Charlie Kendrick.
Stratton pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Otis, they moved to 6-1 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
Stratton will challenge Hi-Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
