Crestview is a perfect 3-0 against Ottoville since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Knights will square off against the Big Green at 12:00 p.m. Crestview is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

While Crestview's victory against Spencerville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bearcats 1-0.

Meanwhile, Ottoville got the win against Pandora-Gilboa on Thursday by a conclusive 13-5.

Nolan Beaubien was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Beaubien was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

In other batting news, Ottoville let Brandon Calvelage and Jayden Saxton run wild. Calvelage went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Saxton went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Saxton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Ottoville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pandora-Gilboa only posted a batting average of .241.

Crestview's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ottoville, their record now sits at 2-7.

Crestview took their victory against Ottoville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
