Basketball Recap: Lakeview Comes Up Short

Lakeview lost against Jefferson Area back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lakeview Bulldogs took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson Area Falcons.

Lakeview now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Jefferson Area, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview will welcome South Range at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Range knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Lakeview likes a good challenge. As for Jefferson Area, they will be playing at home against Perry at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Jefferson Area's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
