Football Game Preview: Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs vs. Elmwood/Plum City Wolves

The Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Elmwood/Plum City Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elmwood/Plum City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, who comes in off a win.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cameron 35-0. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Meanwhile, Elmwood/Plum City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-14 heartbreaker at the hands of Clear Lake. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The victory made it two in a row for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Elmwood/Plum City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser beat Elmwood/Plum City 26-16 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
