Basketball Recap: South Shelby Falls Despite Big Games from Charlie Roush and Belle Roush

South Shelby and Principia squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Shelby had to settle for second. They took a hard 46-28 fall against the Principia Panthers. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

South Shelby's loss came despite strong showings from Belle Roush and Charlie Roush. Belle posted seven points and ten boards, while Charlie earned ten points. Thanks to that strong game, Charlie now owns an excellent 45% field goal percentage.

South Shelby's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.7 points. As for Principia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-5.

South Shelby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. Centralia will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Principia surely won't give up without a fight.
