Soccer Recap: Hickman Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hickman and Father Tolton meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Kewpies fell just short of Father Tolton by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Hickman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Father Tolton are ranked 39th).

Hickman has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Father Tolton, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Hickman will venture away from home to challenge Marshall at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Father Tolton, they will face off against Fulton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
