On Saturday, things could have been worse for Cumberland Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-47 loss to Village Tech.
Meanwhile, Mabank's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. The contest between Mabank and Kaufman wasn't particularly close, with Mabank falling 58-40. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mabank has scored all season.
Cumberland Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Mabank, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Cumberland Academy lost to Mabank at home by a decisive 56-41 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Cumberland Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
