Volleyball Recap: Macksville Comes Up Short

Macksville lost against Victoria last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Heidy Ortiz paced Macksville's offense, picking up four kills. Ortiz got some help from Charley Burr and her six assists.

Leading Victoria to victory were Lyla Rodger and Brinly Lichter. Rodger had six digs and two aces, while Lichter had five digs and two assists.

Macksville's loss dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Victoria, their victory bumped their record up to 27-4.

Macksville has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Kinsley on the 11th. As for Victoria, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Ellinwood on the 11th.
