Basketball Game Preview: Roseville Panthers vs. St. Clair Saints

Roseville hasn't had much luck against St. Clair recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Roseville Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the St. Clair Saints at 6:00 p.m.

Roseville is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 15, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Marine City, falling 61-36. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, St. Clair had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Shorians with a sharp 40-19 win. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

St. Clair pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Roseville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.

Roseville came up short against St. Clair in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 40-34. Can Roseville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
