Football Game Preview: Overhills Jaguars vs. Richmond Senior Raiders + How To Watch

The Overhills Jaguars will challenge the Richmond Senior Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Overhills has given up an average of 29.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Overhills managed to slip by Jack Britt the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jaguars were beaten by the Buccaneers 47-14 on Friday. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.

Overhills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Adusei-Anim and Jermane Griffin. Griffin is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last six games he's played. Overhills got some further help from Marquis James: he forced one fumble and made 30 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Richmond Senior entered their tilt with Hoke County on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They claimed a resounding 48-17 win over the Bucks. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Bucks are ranked 172nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Richmond Senior's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Overhills, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
