Volleyball Recap: Mataio Mamea-Haroldson and Ashtyn Collier Secure Win for Liberty

There's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past the Moreno Valley Vikings 3-2. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Liberty who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-10.

Leading Liberty to victory were Ashtyn Collier and Mataio Mamea-Haroldson. Collier had three blocks and three aces, while Mamea-Haroldson had seven kills and seven blocks. Those seven kills gave Mamea-Haroldson a new career-high.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Moreno Valley, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Liberty has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Valley View on the 18th. As for Moreno Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Ramona on the 14th.
