Baseball Recap: Woodgrove Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hanover

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Woodgrove walked away with it. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Hanover Hawks on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Vincenzo Cusat was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Coltan Dezarn, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Woodgrove's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Hanover, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Coming up, Woodgrove will square off against Heritage at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Pride will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. Hanover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
