Baseball Preview: Smethport Hubbers vs. Coudersport Falcons

The Smethport Hubbers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Coudersport Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Smethport beat Oswayo Valley 7-2. The Hubbers haven't had any issues with the Green Wave recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Owen Rounsville made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Smethport let Dominic Ritts and Zach Hungiville run wild.
