Soccer Game Preview: West Craven vs. North Pitt

West Craven is 0-7-1 against North Pitt since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

West Craven was handed a eight-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They never let Greene Central get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. West Craven's winning goal came courtesy of Dahira Rodriguez-Lopez.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Pitt duked it out with Farmville Central on Thursday. The Panthers and the Jaguars finished up their match with a 0-0 draw.

North Pitt's draw gives them a new season record of 6-2-2. As for West Craven, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7.

West Craven suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to North Pitt when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
