Football Recap: Halifax Wildcats vs. Minersville Battlin' Miners
Halifax had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 39-0 loss at the hands of the Minersville Battlin' Miners.
Dante Carr went supernova for Minersville, throwing for 270 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 120 yards and a touchdown. Carr really tore up the turf during one magnificent 91-yard run. Minersville also got help from Logan Hutsko, who showed off his sure hands for 98 receiving yards.
Halifax will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Upper Dauphin Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Minersville, they will head out to challenge Shenandoah Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
