Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Glades Academy Comes Up Short

Pinecrest Glades Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 50-18 defeat at the hands of the Edison Red Raiders. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-5.

Izaiah Robinson was nothing short of spectacular for Edison: he went 8 of 12 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Juarez, who posted eight points.

Pinecrest Glades Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Edison, their record is now 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinecrest Glades Academy will take on Westwood Christian in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Westwood Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Edison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against First Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
