Basketball Game Preview: Moravian Academy Lions vs. Lehighton Indians

The Moravian Academy Lions will square off against the Lehighton Indians at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Moravian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 64-59 win over Palisades back in December of 2024. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Lehighton waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 91-47 blowout they got against the Bulldogs. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 25 points or more this season.

Lehighton's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Moravian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
