Soccer Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

After soaring to six goals the game before, Elgin was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the MacArthur Highlanders, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Elgin were already down 3-0.

Elgin has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for MacArthur, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Elgin is set to challenge their familiar foe Southeast at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, MacArthur will take on rival Santa Fe South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
