Basketball Recap: Westerville Central Comes Up Short

Westerville Central lost against Dublin Jerome back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Westerville Central Warhawks fell 38-29 to the Dublin Jerome Celtics. The matchup marked the Warhawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Angel Ezirim was her usual excellent self, putting up ten points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals for Dublin Jerome. Those eight steals gave Ezirim a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ashley Meadors, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points.

Westerville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Dublin Jerome, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Westerville Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-45 win against New Albany on the 17th. Dublin Jerome has also already played their next contest, a 36-26 victory against Thomas Worthington on the 17th.
