The Ridgeline Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Heritage Academy Gateway Heroes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ridgeline Academy comes in on 23 and Heritage Academy Gateway on nine.
Ridgeline Academy can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 71-41 victory over Pan-American. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Ridgeline Academy has posted since December 4, 2023.
Meanwhile, Heritage Academy Gateway escaped with a win on Thursday against ASU Prep Poly by the margin of a single free throw, 47-46.
Heritage Academy Gateway's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock Akin, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Akin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Lemieux, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Ridgeline Academy's victory was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.94 points. Heritage Academy Gateway's record now sits at 10-1.
