Soccer Recap: Decatur Takes a Loss

Decatur came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-0 to the Auburn Mountainview Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Auburn Mountainview this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Decatur moved to 7-6-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Auburn Mountainview, their win bumped their record up to 12-2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Decatur will face off against Beamer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Decatur will be up against Beamer's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.64 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Auburn Mountainview, they will square off against Auburn at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
