Sherman won the last time they faced Tolsia and Emma Russell did her part to make sure it happened again. The Tide blew past the Rebels 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Russell, who had four digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8, 25-17.
Sherman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Audrina Smith led the charge by getting eight digs.
Meanwhile, Buffalo hadn't done well against Hurricane recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bison skirted past the Redskins 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bison have posted since September 11th.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Buffalo got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 16-25, 15-12.
Sherman's record is now 20-7-1. As for Buffalo, their record now sits at 11-21-2.
Sherman was able to grind out a solid victory over Buffalo in their previous matchup on October 4th, winning 2-0. Do the Tide have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
