Basketball Game Preview: Lighthouse Christian Lions vs. Franklin Road Christian Minutemen

Having just played yesterday, the Lighthouse Christian Lions will get right back to it and host the Franklin Road Christian Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Road Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lighthouse Christian, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Lighthouse Christian turned things around against Franklin Classical School on Thursday. They took down the Knights 70-55.

Lucas Haymer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 29 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.7 points per game.

Meanwhile, Franklin Road Christian came up short against Pleasant View Christian on Monday and fell 63-53.

Lighthouse Christian will have to contain Matt Robinson as he made an impact in Franklin Road Christian's last game. He dropped a double-double with 11 points and 20 boards. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Wes Fuqua, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Franklin Road Christian's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Lighthouse Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Lighthouse Christian strolled past Franklin Road Christian in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 57-41. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Minutemen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
