Softball Recap: Evans Comes Up Short

Evans lost against Dr. Phillips back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans came up short against the Panthers, falling 27-12. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evans' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Dr. Phillips, their record now sits at 9-4.

Evans and Dr. Phillips could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Trojans (ranked 501st) will meet Apopka (ranked 97th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dr. Phillips will square off against Horizon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (289 vs. 38).
