Soccer Game Preview: Gatlinburg-Pittman vs. Bearden

Gatlinburg-Pittman hasn't had much luck against Bearden recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Gatlinburg-Pittman will be playing in front of their home fans against Bearden at 6:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Gatlinburg-Pittman saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Wren by a score of 2-1. The loss was Gatlinburg-Pittman's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Bearden put another one in the bag last Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Bearden who was credited with the victory. Bearden got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Gainesville's four. Given Bearden's advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked first in Tennessee, while Gainesville are ranked 43rd in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bearden's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.
