Soccer Recap: Great Bridge Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Warhill

Great Bridge faced Warhill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. Great Bridge were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Warhill apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Great Bridge's goal came courtesy of River Hardrict, who's now up to five this season.

Great Bridge's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3-3. As for Warhill, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2-3.

Coming up, Great Bridge will face off against Princess Anne at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Warhill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
