Softball Recap: Cypress Lake Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Cypress Lake's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Neumann Celtics on Thursday. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Cypress Lake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrina Westland, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Westland hit this season.

Cypress Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Neumann, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Cypress Lake Panthers face off against Dunbar Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Lake is facing Dunbar at the right time seeing as Dunbar is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Neumann, they will square off against Seacrest Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Neumann's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Seacrest Country Day has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
