Basketball Game Preview: Rocky Mountain Lobos vs. Greeley West Spartans

Rocky Mountain has gone 7-0 against Greeley West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rocky Mountain Lobos will welcome the Greeley West Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Rocky Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Rocky Mountain didn't have too much trouble with Fort Collins as they won 61-42. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Lambkins are ranked 124th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kenna Wagner continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13 for 21 on her way to 26 points and eight steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mia Thomas, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, Greeley West played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 67-18 defeat at the hands of Windsor. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

The win made it two in a row for Rocky Mountain and bumps their season record up to 12-5. As for Greeley West, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Rocky Mountain against Greeley West in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured an 82-26 victory. In that contest, Rocky Mountain amassed a halftime lead of 46-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
