Despite the defeat, Choctaw County had strong showings from India Graham, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds, and Paris Harris, who scored 15 points. That was a full 51.3% of Choctaw County's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Sweet Water suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 69-23 defeat at the hands of Southern Choctaw. Sweet Water has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Choctaw County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Sweet Water, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Choctaw County against Sweet Water when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 61-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Choctaw County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
