Chatfield and Bear Creek are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Chatfield Chargers will head out to take on the Bear Creek Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chatfield will be strutting in after a win while Bear Creek will be coming in after a defeat.

Chatfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 100-66 victory over Lakewood. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Chargers with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Bear Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 61-36 to Arvada West. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Wildcats are ranked 26th).

Chatfield's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Bear Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Chatfield took their victory against Bear Creek when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 76-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chatfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
