Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Riley Folse and Emma Boudreaux Lead Houma Christian to Victory

There's no place like home for Houma Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. James Wildcats on Wednesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-14, 25-21.

Leading Houma Christian to victory were Emma Boudreaux and Riley Folse. Boudreaux had 15 assists and five digs, while Folse had four aces and three digs. Boudreaux has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played. Taylor Romero also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Houma Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Houma Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for St. James, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Houma Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against St. Charles Catholic on the 18th. As for St. James, they will square off against Liberty Magnet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
