            There's no place like home for Rusk, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They came out on top against the Brownsboro Bears by a score of  28-21  on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive  win against them.
Rusk's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Maleki Overstreet, who rushed for 60 yards and one  touchdown, and also threw for 36 yards and one  TD.

 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rusk was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 223  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

 Coming up, Rusk will challenge Athens at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.71  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Brownsboro, they will take on Center at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
