Softball Recap: Chavez Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Chavez was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They lost 18-2 to the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines.

Chavez saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica Ramos, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Jordan Billingsley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Harvard-Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Chavez is on the road again on Saturday to play West at 11:00 a.m. West's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Chavez's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Harvard-Westlake, they will take on Granada Hills Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Granada Hills Charter will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Harvard-Westlake surely won't give up without a fight.
