Basketball Game Preview: Forest Park Panthers vs. Jackson Jaguars

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Forest Park Panthers challenge the Jackson Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... Forest Park has now lost 15 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 19.

On Tuesday, Forest Park was beaten by Mays 87-45. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 436th, while the Raiders are ranked 65th).

Meanwhile, everything went Jackson's way against Midtown on Tuesday as Jackson made off with a 64-42 victory. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Jackson has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Forest Park, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Forest Park was dealt a bruising 70-30 defeat at the hands of Jackson in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Forest Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
