Volleyball Recap: Mount Olive's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mount Olive waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Morristown Colonials by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mount Olive was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12.

Izabella Osoria paced Mount Olive's offense, picking up 15 kills. Osoria got some help from Kaitlyn Tungmun and her 21 assists. Tungmun also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ava Diaz, each putting up two.

Mount Olive's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Morristown, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Mount Olive will head out to challenge Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Morristown, they will welcome West Orange at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
