Basketball Recap: North Clay Comes Up Short

North Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brownstown Bombers. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 52-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brownstown found their leader in sophomore Dayana Haslett, who posted 38 points. The contest was Haslett's 17th in a row with at least ten points.

North Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Brownstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

North Clay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brownstown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-36 victory against Vandalia on the 29th.
