Basketball Recap: Westwood Baptist Academy Has No Trouble Against Liberty Christian Academy

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Westwood Baptist Academy's strategy against Liberty Christian Academy on Friday. The Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles were the clear victor by a 48-24 margin over the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles. Westwood Baptist Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Gage Barker, who went 9 of 18 en route to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Anden Moore, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points along with eight boards and six assists.

Westwood Baptist Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Liberty Christian Academy lost, don't look at Willy Mueller. Despite the final result, he posted eight points and eight rebounds. Mueller has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played.
