Baseball Recap: Armijo Comes Up Short

Armijo fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Wood on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-5. If the Royals were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Armijo and nudges their season record down to 0-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armijo will head out to challenge River City at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wood, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against American Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
