Softball Recap: Laconia Find Success

Laconia won the last time they faced Lebanon and things went their way on Monday too. The Sachems came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sachems.

Kaydence Stinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Kaitlyn Durfee was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Sam Mitchell also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Laconia's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Lebanon, they moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Laconia will challenge rival Hollis-Brookline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lebanon is set to take on their familiar foe Merrimack Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
