Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Jupiter Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calvary Christian Academy). They were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over Jupiter Christian on Wednesday. Calvary Christian Academy not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024.

Nicholas Goodwin looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Carlos Lugo and Preston Bielec did most of the damage at the plate: Lugo went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Bielec went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Bielec a new career-high in RBI. Blake Sundberg also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

The victory got Calvary Christian Academy back to even at 3-3-3. As for Jupiter Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Calvary Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against King's Academy on the 6th. As for Jupiter Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 17-0 victory against Sports Leadership & Management on the 10th.
