Basketball Recap: Chatham Charter's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Chatham Charter had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the North Moore Mustangs by a score of 44-37 on Monday. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but the Knights were the better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chatham Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kynzie Jordan, who posted seven points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Jordan a new career-high in points. Skylar Lynn was another key player, putting up 16 points.

When it comes to explaining why North Moore lost, don't look at Calissa Clendenin. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Chatham Charter's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for North Moore, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Chatham Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-31 win against Woods Charter on the 10th. As for North Moore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-34 victory against South Davidson on the 12th.
