Game recap: Briar Woods High School Football Team wins against North Stafford

ASHBURN, Va. - Briar Woods (Ashburn, Va.) saw its 15-point lead dwindle to two, but still managed to hang on and upset North Stafford (Stafford, Va.) 27-25 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter, the Falcons led 14-6 at the half.

Briar Woods grew its lead to 15 points entering the fourth quarter. BW scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by Trace McSorley to Tristan Carter.

The loss snapped North Stafford's six-game winning streak.

The defeat comes as a step back for North Stafford, who notched a 42-21 victory over Massaponax in its previous outing.
