Football Recap: Belton's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Belton was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost to the East View Patriots at home by a 24-10 margin. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Will Shepard threw for 302 yards on 24 of 35 attempts. Gavin Ross was his top target, picking up 138 receiving yards. On the ground, Gino Zecca rushed for 33 yards.

Cormyc Guerrero was a one-man wrecking crew For East View. as he threw for 150 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 73 yards on only five carries. A healthy portion of Guerrero's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Sam Williams, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Belton fell to 2-1. As for East View, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Belton will host San Angelo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East View, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
