St. Edward had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 38-6 win over the Whitmer Panthers. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Brandon White, who rushed for 173 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Jonny Evanchick was another key player, throwing for 57 yards and two TDs.

St. Edward didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Whitmer to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Brayden Thomas for the heroic effort on defense: he. St. Edward wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 41.7%.

St. Edward's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points over those games. As for Whitmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Looking ahead, St. Edward will take on Mentor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' defense has only allowed 10.4 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. Whitmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
