            Baseball Preview: St. Joseph Knights vs. San Dimas Saints        
        
		
        
        
            The St. Joseph Knights will take on the San Dimas Saints at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.
St. Joseph heads in on the heels of a playoff  game on Saturday. They fell just short of Centennial by a score of  8-6. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
  Erik Furness and  Ashton Bluem stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Furness  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double, while  Bluem  went 3-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  double. That  triple marked the first that  Bluem has  hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Santana Covarrubias, who  got on base  in three of his five plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for San Dimas' offense. They fell just short of Glendora by a score of  2-0 on Saturday. Considering the last time the Saints couldn't score was  back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.
  James Rocha was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   six  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.
 San Dimas' loss dropped their record down to 19-11. As for St. Joseph, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-7.
