Soccer Recap: Clinton Falls Short of Oxford in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clinton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Oxford Chargers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Arrows were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5-1. As for Oxford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2-2 record this season.

Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oxford, they will take on Tupelo on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tupelo comes in on four and Oxford on 12.
