Volleyball Recap: Providence Comes Up Short

Providence lost against Marlborough back in August of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pioneers fell 2-0 to the Mustangs.

Marlborough was led to victory by Tatawan Vongfak and Jocelyn Schechter. Vongfak had 16 digs and two assists, while Schechter had ten assists. That's the most assists Vongfak has posted over her last two matches. Jemma Tsoneff also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Providence has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season. As for Marlborough, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-12.

Providence has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Granada Hills Charter on the 29th. As for Marlborough, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Oakwood on the 27th.
