Basketball Recap: Logan Mcalvey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fellowship Baptist Academy over Algoma Christian

If Fellowship Baptist Academy was feeling good fresh off their 50-10 takedown of Skeels Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fellowship Baptist Academy Falcons lost to the Algoma Christian Knights on the road by a 67-52 margin on Thursday. The Falcons have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Fellowship Baptist Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Logan McAlvey, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. Hudson McAlvey was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 12 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Alex Narva was nothing short of spectacular for Algoma Christian: he went 7-for-9 from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points. What's more, Narva also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucas Bouma, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points and five boards.

Fellowship Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Algoma Christian, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Fellowship Baptist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-49 win against Juniata Christian on the 14th. As for Algoma Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 67-63 victory against Barry County Christian on the 15th.
